A children’s party is a big event. We understand that. A birthday to get dirty together, laugh out loud and talk about for a long time afterwards. At De Steenuil you celebrate on a real farm, with animals to meet and room to play indoors and outdoors.
Celebrating with the whole family?
We Dutch celebrate a child’s birthday in two ways: a party with school friends and a party with family and friends. But expats tend to bring more friends and family. That’s also more than possible at our farm!

We give a get-dirty guarantee. Feel free to put that on the invitation! Romping indoors and outdoors, playing in the barns and the hay hut: it’s one big party.

Bookable on every opening day
Free play in the indoor playground and outside, meeting the animals and joining in feeding with the farmer. Entrance included. You supervise the children yourselves.
Special price €7.95 per child on Wednesdays and Fridays outside school holidays, because we won bronze in the Leukste Uitje (most fun day out) awards for North Brabant. €12.50 on other opening days. Only for the free play party, from 7 children.

Together with the farmer you visit the animals. Helping, asking questions and discovering are all part of it. One of our team guides the activity.

Prefer not to have an all-in package? You can of course also book separate tickets to visit us without a party package. A 10-visit card may then be a good option. 10-visit card You order any food or drinks separately on the day itself.

A cake for the birthday child? You can’t bring your own cake, but we make a cream cake with a farm animal topper that can go home with you: €39.95 for 8 people, order at least two weeks in advance.
And for the parents?
At a children’s party, mum and dad, and often grandma and grandpa, simply come along. Adults pay €1 entrance. Coffee, tea and something tasty, like a slice of grandma’s apple pie, you order on the day at your table with the QR menu or at the bar.

Good to know beforehand
Is the whole party supervised?
At the farmhand party and the pony party, our team guides the activity. The play party has no private guided programme.
How long does the activity take?
The guided activity at the farmhand party and the pony party usually takes about 45 minutes. On top of that there is time for free play, indoors and outdoors.
Time for presents, animals and a story.
Your own spot in the hay hut to unwrap the presents. Read the story of Dagna and the wise old oak together and take a wishing stone from the wishing chest to the oak. Check on the day what time you can feed the animals with the farmer.
At the farmhand party: a chicken on your head? A real cow up close? Put on your old clothes. At the pony party you meet our Shetland ponies; every child can take a first ride with a guide.
Clothing and allergies.
Wear sturdy shoes and clothes that can get dirty. In winter, warm socks are nice; above 25 degrees, swimwear and a set of dry clothes are handy. Flip-flops are not allowed for the pony activity.
Gluten-free, dairy-free or another special diet, such as lactose-free or halal? Tick it when booking (+ €1.50 per child). Does your child have a severe allergy or coeliac disease? Please email us first, so we can agree together on what is possible.
What do adults pay, and what about parking?
Adults pay €1.00 entrance per person. Parking is free. Adults simply order food and drinks at our café.
Can we come with more adults?

Can we bring our own food, drinks or cake?
Your own food, drinks and cake are not allowed. You can extend the party with food and drinks from the farm. Discuss allergies or special diets with us in advance.
How do I choose a date?
For the play party, the farmhand party and the pony party you can check availability online. The farmhand and pony parties are bookable on available days. Practical details for the new parties will follow.
Is your preferred party fully booked?
Perhaps the free play party fits your date. Our terms and park rules apply to bookings.
